A fine quality antique early-20th Century cold-painted bronze statue, c1910. It depicts a North African/Middle Eastern figure in traditional clothing.
The figure is holding a torch or similar, and it may have been designed as a taper holder. It is beautifully cast and decorated, and is very much in the style of Bergman - although we cannot detect a signature or cartouche.
The statue is heavy for its size and has aged well, with great colour/patina. Overall condition is good with only very minor surface wear/paint loss and verdigris. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact us with any questions or if you would like to view the item.
