elcome to Curious Antiques' news, discounts and special offers page. After 30 years of buying and selling in antique centres, fairs and on eBay, this website has been launched to provide customers with another route to the 'Curious' experience.
We are committed to tracking down fine, rare and intriguing antiques and curiosities. Sometimes these are found on our doorstep... but often they are sourced from much further afield.
Our recent buying trips have taken in Mozambique, Zaire, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam, and we are about to embark upon visits to Singapore and Lombok (Indonesia). In future I will report back here on these trips, as well as on some of the best new items acquired.

Impressive Anglo-Burmese hardwood cupboard/sideboard, c1830 – profusely decorated with carvings of deities, animals and mythical creatures. It is impossible to over-emphasise the quality of the carving on this large cupboard, as well as its overall impact.

A large cow horn scrimshaw piece depicting Lord and Lady Falmouth, c1800 (see also top image). The decoration is lovely and comprises two good portraits and an inscription.

- Primus one-armed bandit. A nice 1950s German-made amusement machine.
- Rare African Senufo tribal ceremonial bronze and snakeskin pipe.
- Aireon model 400 ('Canned Ham') jukebox, 1948. This was the first jukebox to use neon lighting, and looks absolutely fabulous when lit.
